In a review for "Filmsite", A. R. Sukumar said Bajpayee was impressive as a man who had lost all sense of self-worth because of his inability to repay a debt to his partner in crime. He praised Bajpai's performance as the lead actor and felt that soundtrack composed by Vishal-Shekhar was original and liked the cinematography. He said: "There were a few misfires in the movie, but those can be overlooked since the director was trying to bring out certain emotions with those scenes. Sukumar also recommended the film for thriller fans. In a review for "India Today", Aseem Chhabra criticized Bajpai's acting and said no amount of passion could save the film from being a clichéd story of a man struggling against corruption. He concluded his review saying: "Though it is a gripping tale, it is a too familiar one, and one that leaves you feeling semi-satisfied. It has its charm though, and the film garners a few chuckles along the way." In another review for xoJane, Jia Sampaio said Bajpai's performance was the only thing she liked about the film. She felt that the script was not very smart and that Bajpai's portrayal of a man with limited emotional range did not make sense. Sampaio also felt that negative aspects of poverty were presented in a heavy-handed manner and did not show dignity until the end of the film. cfa1e77820
